Japanese Stainless Steel Scrap Import in July Increased 30% to 11,905 Tonne

 Stainless steel scrap that was imported by Japan in July, according to the trade entry statistics became 11,905 tonne, increasing 30% compared to the previous month. With the 13,839 tonne of export in July, Japanese stainless steel market has an impression of counterbalancing between export and import.
Average unit price of the import aggregate amount in July is 154 yen/kg, which is 30 yen more expensive than the export. The import amount from Korea is 4462 tonne, increasing 24% compared to the previous month, with the average unit price of the import is 148 yen/kg, which is also 30 yen more expensive than the export. Import 1965 tonne from Taiwan, with unit price of 137 yen/kg, while importing 3093 tonne from America with unit price of 197 yen/kg.
