Japanese aluminum scrap exports 13,079 tonne in June Exports to SouthKorea down by 21.7%MOM to 4,544 tonne

 Based on Trade Statistics of Japan, in June total exports of aluminum scrap in Japan were 13,079 tonne, up by 2.2% compared with what in the previous month. The average export unit price was JPY142/kg, up by JPY6/kg compared with what in the previous month.
 The exports to SouthKorea were 4,544 tonne, down by 21.7% compared with the previous month, and it was falling to its 4,000 tonne level since last October. The export unit price was JPY148 /kg. The unit price does not change very much compared with the previous month. It is considered to be a factor that the buying price of screw included sash and UBC of Korean aluminum alloy producers decreased. The exports to China totaled 6,680 tonne, up by 8.6% compared with the previous month. The average export unit price largely increased from JPY123/kg in the previous month, to JPY142/kg. The exports to HongKong were 717 tonne (the average export unit price= JPY153/kg). The exports to Thai were 186 tonne (JPY168/kg). The exports to Indonesia were 297 tonne, up twice from what of the previous month. The average export unit price was JPY165/kg.
